The Red Baron onion seedlings have been pricked out of the propagator into their own little newspaper pots
Making the pots up
So now we have all these onion seedlings in pots...
and these as overflow...hehe
This weekend we decided to tackle a plant that was causing a problem in the greenhouse.
This a Phormium Tenax (aka New Zealand Flax) (aka blumming irritating huge thing)
And this is what it was doing to the greenhouse, it blocks so much light during the day that it was becoming really dank and smelly back there.
So out come the shears and uber scissors and we did some therapeutic pruning.
So much better!
We also sowed two rows of beetroot seeds, these are in the yet to be developed bed that's been left by some tree removal. We're not sure what state the soil is in so have just dug some compost into the soil and thrown some beetroot in to see what it does ;)
Four rows of lettuce in the greenhouse bed. One row of little gem, two rows of red and green leaves and one row of match lettuce.
Some basil seeds in the mini propagator.
My jalopenos are finally germinating.
After a little poke around in the propagators (I'm impatient and was getting a little worried) I've seen that the tomato seeds are germinating too. The habanero, aubergine and lany peppers are yet to show signs of life, but I'm not giving up yet.
